About Me

Hello there! I’m Latoya, Baltimore-born & Army-bred. After 22 years of service in the U.S. Army, most of them as an IT specialist—I’m still learning, growing, and convinced that “debugging” applies to both code and family squabbles. I’m earning a B.S. in Management from American Military University because I believe good leadership is part science, part art, and part good coffee. When I’m not monitoring networks or corralling the kids, you’ll find me with my nose buried in a book. I'm thrilled to be part of this community, to learn from each of you, and to add a little Baltimore flavor (and maybe a few dad jokes) to our discussions.

A little more about my journey

My journey has been anything but ordinary. From the streets of Baltimore to serving my country for over two decades, I've gathered a wealth of experience and perspective. My time in the U.S. Army as an IT specialist taught me the importance of precision, problem-solving, and teamwork. Now, as I pursue my B.S. in Management, I'm eager to apply these skills and insights to the world of business.

What it's like to work with me

I believe in open communication, collaboration, and a healthy dose of humor. Whether it's troubleshooting a complex IT issue or strategizing for a new project, I bring a can-do attitude and a commitment to excellence. I value diverse perspectives and believe that the best solutions come from working together. I am dedicated to making a positive impact, both professionally and personally.

Beyond the office

Outside of my professional and academic pursuits, I'm a proud mom and avid reader. I find that balancing work, family, and personal interests keeps me grounded and inspired. I love learning new things, exploring different cultures, and giving back to my community. My diverse experiences have shaped me into the person I am today, and I'm excited to see what the future holds.
